Studied at Escola Vera Cruz and Colégio Santa Maria, graduated in Economics from Universidade de São Paulo, holds an MBA title from Cornell University – Ithaca, NY. Took the Harvard Business School extension course Strategic Human Resources Management.

Started his professional career at Unibanco and, during 15 years, accumulated an experience in Human Resources, Supply, Real Estate, Customer Service, and Special Projects.

Was the Wal-Mart Human Resources Vice-President from 2007 up to 2011 and, during this period, was responsible for an operation which involved approximately 80 thousand employees. Was also a member of the Wal-Mart Staff Team (board) and a Wal-Mart Institute Board Member Took responsibility for the staffing plan during the business expansion, change management, integration of the acquired companies, introduction of the new competency model, and management of organizational development, including an aggressive redirection of the incentive compensation plan. In 2010, was nominated by the magazine ”Você RH” one of the top Human Resources Managers in Brazil.

Since 2011, joined Robert Wong Executive Consulting as Partner working on projects of the Executive Search Division – R4U.

In line with human development and social projects, Marcos is President of SORRI Brazil, a NGO focused on the inclusion of handicapped individuals into the labor market. Was also an active member of Grupo Diógenes de RH, part to the ABRH – Associação Brasileira de Recursos Humanos.
